Does alcohol irritate the skin of snakes?

I have a red tail boa, and have heard that if you put alcohol on them after they constrict it will make them the release. Is that true?Does alcohol irritate the skin of snakes?
If you put alcohol on a snakes head, in its mouth and eyes it will release you if its biting you. Hot water also works, and sometimes bending their tail backwards will work too. Though none of these are recommended unless absolutely necessary, last resort. If its not big enough to kill you then i would just wait for it to release its gripDoes alcohol irritate the skin of snakes?
hi there

alcohol ???

why would u want to try it .. most red tails would attact a humans unless it's a feeding responce and u smell like their prey..and any snake that is over 7 feet should be handled with a extra person so if it does happen then u have some one to help .. and after 15 feet there should be at lease 1 extra person for every 2-3 feet .. hope this helps
You can use alcohol or vinager to pour where the snake is biting you and it will usually cause it to let go due to the bad taste of it. If you do this then you want to point the snakes head down as not to pour alcohol or vinager down the snakes glottis aka esophagus. Not wise to just try and pull your arm out as the snakes teeth curve inwards and you will wind up ripping your skin as you try and pull it out.

If the snake is wrapped around you I would hope that you have somebody else there with you that knows how to pull the snake off you. Basically, starting at the tail, just start unwrapping the snake. If you snake does get 8 feet long then it is highly recomended that you have two people and one more person for ever 3-4 feet after that (i would recomend every 3 feet) with you when you hold it or clean out its cage and possibly even feed it. You never know what might happen and an 8 foot snake could easily kill you.
