How to prevent sagging skin when losing weight?

I'm 15 years old, 6', and 260 lbs. I planning on losing the weight but I don't want to have my grandparents stomach after losing the weight! What do I do?How to prevent sagging skin when losing weight?
You've already answered your own question, Chief. You're 15. Your skin is more elastic than any adult. It will shrink up on it's own, no extra effort required. Relax. If you were 40, you'd be screwed. But at 15, you're still golden. Lose your weight. Your skin will follow right behind. How to prevent sagging skin when losing weight?
stand on youre head for a while
you won't have any sagging skin after you lost weight probably some stretchmarks but as long as you lose weight you won't only old people have sagging skin,,
at the age of 15 you probably won't have the extra skin folds lying around after you lose weight. when you're that young your skin is very elastic and can bounce back from just about anything. the problem happens when you get older. as you age your skin gets less and less elastic and older people usually have to go in for plastic surgery to get rid of the extra skin flaps. be glad you are losing the weight now, rather than later on in life...
Exercise. Grandparents stomach - as IFF! Sounds like you're looking for an excuse to keep your lifestyle as it is, which would mean keeping the fat on. Exercise.
ISAGENIX! Anti-aging health and wellness. Guaranteed with results the first week. On the website, you will see Kim who lost over 150 pounds. Notice the size she was and the size she is now. That is with no surgery. Getting your body into balance...which is what Isagenix does...also releases elastins in our body which tighten the skin. I am 55 years old and as I have lost over 25 pounds in the last 5 weeks, my tummy and love handles have tightened. I love it. It works. Endorsed by body-builders, doctors, nutritionists, famous authors and millions of people just like me. Look at the 100 pound club. Then you can get in touch with me. I am anxious to help. %26lt;%26gt;%26lt;
Loose it slowly...or get surgery :P
I'm 20 years old, and I've already gone from a size 18 to a size 6 within the past 2 years. I now have excess skin on my stomach %26amp; arms. I would us skin firming lotion while you're dieting and excercising. Since you're very young, your skin WILL retain itself, just give it time. Don't ever be discouraged from your new lifestyle just because of some saggy skin! Best of luck!!!
excerisce and lift ewights not much beacuse u dont want to gain muslce weight just do it works ur abs yummy
EXERCISE EXERCISE EXERCISE
exercise will help a lot but if your gonna lose a ton of wieght you will need surgery to remove extra skin becuase it doesnt just go away..but at your current weight exercise should be enough to tone you up
Excercise, tone yourself up mate.

Look at my question please peeps.
I really don't think your skin will shrink even if you exercise, it is stretched. you go ahead by all means and loose the weight but i think you will have to have the skin surgically removed.
sorry, you'll have to exercise too!!!! :)
Weight training .
Lose weight slowly so gives time for your skin to shrink back if you lose your weight too fast then the excess skin will sag.

What is a good neutral colour of lip gloss to use if I have blue eyes and fair, slightly tanned skin?

I want to find a toned-down, neutral colour lipgloss because I want my eyes to be the focus of my face. Can you recommend a brand, also? What is a good neutral colour of lip gloss to use if I have blue eyes and fair, slightly tanned skin?
You can go with a nude glossy lip which would be awesome or add a little pink.

MAC- Petal Pusher (it's in the new collection for the spring) it's a little pinky and it looks fantastic.

Red Earth- their nude lip gloss is to die for

Clinique- has a great nude one as well

MAC definitely has a lot of great glosses. What is a good neutral colour of lip gloss to use if I have blue eyes and fair, slightly tanned skin?
I would say...probably clear lip gloss. or try and get a make up type magazine..they usually have skin tone makeup matchups. =)
Sheer pink
go with a light pink that is kinda dull pink

have you seen the thorn birds

the dress that the girl i wearing is called ashes of roses

that is a good color adn then put some sheen on it

or you could go with a dark red that is not bright
A mellow shiny pink OR

A silky shiny white
a deep red or pink that will bring out your eyes and make you tanner!
a really light pink
Try these:

Super Lip Gloss by Makeup Forever in Shade #13

Lip Gloss from NARS in ';Orgasm';

Lip Glass from M.A.C. in ';Underage';

Lip Glaze from Stila in ';Watermelon'; ';Fruit Punch'; or ';Peach';

XXX Gloss from Urban Decay in ';Carney';

Glossimer from CHANEL in ';Sirop';
a light pink but not one that is lighter than your actual lip color or just clear. brands really don't matter... just the right color.
Try the I Scream for Sugar box set. It's from Sugar Cosmetics. All of the colors are variations of very sheer pink. It just adds a little shine to your lips; the color isn't noticeable, just the shine. And it tastes just like a sugar cookie...delicious!
Probably just Wet 'n' Wild, a light pink, and shiny with gloss, bit not too much.

Are humans the only animal on the planet to have hairless skin?

I know we have some hair, but are there any animals that have mostly hairless or furless skin like we do?Are humans the only animal on the planet to have hairless skin?
There are plenty of hairless animals. Fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, the list goes on adn on.

If by ';only animal'; you meant ';only mammal'; then there are still some mammals without fur. Several dog and cat breeds can be hairless, like the mexican hairless dog, and many marine mammals like whales and dolphins have little hair. Are humans the only animal on the planet to have hairless skin?
Hair is found only on mammals, so 99%+ of the animal kingdom would meet your first criterion. All mammals have hair at some timer in their lives. If you want a soft-skinned ';hairless'; mammal, look up naked mole-rats.
there are hairless versions of many animals...rats, cats, dogs, moles.
All mammals have fur. (Except dolphins?)

Reptiles, birds, amphibians, fish don't.
Do you mean animal or mammal? Fish are generally not hairy creatures. Birds tend to have feathers, reptiles scales. I believe snails tend to lack body hair too.
Nope reptiles and amphibians don't have hair on their skin.
NOPE, there are hairless cats and dogs as well. One is called the Mexican Hairless. I'm not sure about the cat.
Well ther'es dolphins, whales and reptiles to name a few.
We don't have hairless skin....???

  • How to achieve pale skin after a bad tan?

Yeah... I recently got a bad tan from being out in the sun too long. I want to get pale skin though. How can I do this? I usually am pretty light but I tan too well. =/ Thanks. How to achieve pale skin after a bad tan?
get foundation that is lighter than your skin tone.

if its a fake and bake accident then i think a lemon juice mixture will remove the unwanted color...How to achieve pale skin after a bad tan?
There really isn't much to do; you could put lighter foundation on your face but it may not look natural. Stay out of the sun for a while or don't be out long unless its after 2pm.
Exfoliate your skin more then usual to get as much skin cells off as possible every time you shower and such. It will fade faster but tans normally take a while to go away.

What are some products that you can use to improve your skin?

Well i don't have bad skin, but i realized its dry. So i want a clean looking complexion...you know. What are some products that you can use to improve your skin?
Glycolic Peels. Look for an over the counter version at your local drug store. They are about $19.99 and up!

Is there a home remedy to remove the sticky from my skin after removing elastoplast?

The elastoplast has left a lot of sticky patches on my back that I cannot get off, do you know of something that I might have at home to remove it?Is there a home remedy to remove the sticky from my skin after removing elastoplast?
Rubbing alcohol or fingernail polish removerIs there a home remedy to remove the sticky from my skin after removing elastoplast?
nail varnish remover - yeah truce !
If you have alchohol preps they work great !

If not, the a clean cloth like a diaper with alchohol on it works. Just don't use a cotton ball as the sticky stuff will catch the cotton and leave fuzzies on you.

What products or regimens work well to get rid of blackheads and whiteheads and don't dry out the skin?

I have very acne prone skin, and i've tried EVERYTHING to get rid of it! My dermatologist perscribed a benzoil peroxide cream, and it dries my skin out very badly. I saw on TV a Murad Acne Complex thing, and it seemed to work, but i'm not so sure. I have very low self esteem because of my acne, and i think it would go way up, if i got rid of my acne! Anything from store bought things, and home remedies would be very helpful!

I also was wondering how to get rid of acne scars, i used to pop my pimples and now I have terrible scars.

Another thing, i had the chicken pox when I was younger, and I now have large indents all over my face from scars. my dermatologist did a little surgery on one of them, and it only made them worse.

PLEASE HELP ME!What products or regimens work well to get rid of blackheads and whiteheads and don't dry out the skin?
Step 1 - Cleanse the face thoroughly with a good cleanser meant for oily skin. Preferrably use a salicylic acid cleanser.

Step 2 - Apply an astringent like witch hazel. It helps reduce oiliness. If its a bit harsh mix a bit of rose water in it.

Step 3 - Apply a good quality medicated cream or gel containing resorcinol, salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. This helps is soaking the oil and helps in peeling away the blackheads. You can get creams or gels of Benzoyl Peroxide treating blackheads If benzoyl peroxide leaves your skin dry, apply an oil-free moisturizer after 10 mins of applying benzoyl peroxide.

Apply a thin film of adapalene gel once daily before bedtime. Its mainly available in the form of ';Differin';. Its highly recommended! A word of caution though, adapalene can increase the sensitivity of skin to ultraviolet radiation from sunlight, so prolonged exposure should be avoided by judicious use of sunscreens and protective clothing.

Following this routine, in a matter of days you will be getting rid of blackheads.

Effective Tips to get rid of blackheads

鈥xfoliate the blackhead prone area 3-4 times a week using facial exfoliators and scrubs.

鈥se creams containing AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Fruit acids) like glyco-creams that will clear away any dead skin cells and ';expose'; the blackhead. Use the AHA's every 3 days or so.

鈥eep your hair away from your face. Greasy hair and skin go together, and hair can spread infection.

鈥void washing the face with soaps more than twice a day. Instead wash your face often with plain water splashes.

鈥ften use a mask with a clay base.

If blackheads look ready to pop out, you could try removing them gently by using a blackhead extractor. Also, Pore cleanser strips (blackhead extractor) for removal of blackheads are highly recommended for the treatment/removal of blackheads. Using them once per week will leave your pores cleaner and smaller.

Steam your face to soften both the skin and the material blocking the pores.

How can I lose weight but not be left with loose skin?

Im about 4 - 5 stone over weight and I have made it my ';new years resolution'; to lose the weight and get fit.

Im scared I will be left with loose skin. Is there any way I can lose the weight with the skin? How can I lose weight but not be left with loose skin?
Youth surely helps, as the skin is more elastic and able to re-shape itself.

Start exercising along with the diet plan.....this helps to keep the skin nice and tight.

Best to you.How can I lose weight but not be left with loose skin?
with plenty of toning exercises maybe start going to the gym start off slowly and warm up beforehand and build it up gradually also walking can help
losing that much weight, yeah there will likely be skin. the only way to repair that is with surgery, unfortunately. here is the thing though. the skin wont kill you. in the end, being overweight by 4-5 stone will kill you. i guess it becomes a lesser of two evils.
no,you will have loose skin, but good toning exercises will help, make sure you don't lose the weight too quick either, that will help
if you lose the weight at a reasonable pace ie not too fast and also do exercise such as sit ups, cardio and some light weights then you should be ok.

Its usually extremely fast weight loss that leaves people with excess skin.

    good luck by the way!
im glad you asked this q, iv been thinking the same iv been told if you just do plenty ov exercise jogging sit ups drink loads of water lay of the beer and also eat very healthy eat less more often it works im guna try it its my new years resolution too, keep intouch email me and tell me how your getting and i will too, ps it get rid of the excess skin also i want that also, zoe x
Well to answer your question it would take ime but here is a workout or thing that might help :

1)Stop eating and excercise intensely. (time consumed: about a week, maybe)

    2) Dehydrate yourself. Do not drink any water, and you can lose up to 10 pounds (time consumed: a day or two)

    3) Get lipo-suction (time consumed: idk, i guess a few hours)

    4) Cut off a limb. (time consumed: instantaneous)

How badly did I get burnt if there is pain coming from deep inside of the skin and the skin is reddish/purple?

I have recently been out in the sun and got badly burnt, the pain of the burn is hurtingfrom within in the skin. How badly did I get burnt if there is pain coming from deep inside of the skin and the skin is reddish/purple?
You might want to go to the Dr. If its that bad it could possibly be 3rd degree burns...or even sun poisoning. I'd make an appointment ASAP!!

Something that is good for burns of any kind including sun burns is S.T. 37, it is an oral antiseptic. Its good for oral problems such as a cold sore or cut in the mouth as well. It helps draw the heat out of sun burns and also helps relieve pain. You just have to put a little bit on a cotton ball and dab it on the burned area. Its only found in pharmacy's and you will most likely have to ask them to order it for you...its not a prescription, but not something most pharmacies keep in stock. Its somewhere between $9.00-$13.00 for a 16oz bottle. Its great!!

  • How come every time I get out of the pool my skin burns?

Happened again today. I can't stay in the pool for too long because my skin burns really bad. Especially on my back. It sucks having a pool in your backyard when you can't even use it. Do you know why this is and what i can do about it?How come every time I get out of the pool my skin burns?
I am so allergic to the chlorine and bromine used in pools! I get a full body rash. Take a shower immediately after leaving the pool and see if that helps.

If it is your families pool and you use it a lot, see if you have a cleaning system that can handle an organic cleaner like sea salt or one of the other non-chemical systems. It works and won't leave you burning. How come every time I get out of the pool my skin burns?
Put water proof sunscreen on before you go swimmin, it should take care of your problem.
It could be the chemicals in the water. Perhaps your using to much chlorine or you may be just allergic to the brand your using I would try switching cleansers.
As your skin onlky burns in certsin areas, its agreeably the chlorine, but actually whats happening is its drying out your already dry skin areas, therefore making it sore. Like ok, dry skin cracks, as it cracks you re-deposit your skin in more chlorine, making a tingling/burning sensation. Need to treat your dry skin well before continuing to hang in pool. Being actually in the water provides a cooling sensation, which is why you dont feel it till you get out and the chlorine is left drying on your skin. Actually might consider seeking s dermatologist.
Do you mean sun burn? Chase if thats it were sunblack.

If it is just pool water thats making you burn, you might be allargic to the coloreen in the water. If thats the chase you should see your dr.
you didn't specify if it was a sun burn due to the glare off the water, or an allergy to the pool chemicals.
    I have some good edible body oils that might help(-;
May be you have allergy for Chlorine which is used to clean the pool water from bacteria
It sounds like it could be to much chlorine, you should proberly have th PH level checked. I miss having a pool, I hope you can get it fixed nothing beats having lovely swim whenever you feel like it.
you have to check it with a dermatologist. they can help you out.

but for now, enjoy ur pool at night so you won't get sun burns.

How long does it take for a snake to shed his skin after his eyecaps go white.?

Poor Elvis looks like the living dead and he's in a very foul mood. How long does it take for a snake to shed his skin after his eyecaps go white.?
Give him a couple of days, the only thing you can do to help is mist his cage 2-3 times a day with a squirt bottle. If he sheds his skin on his body, but not his eyes, which tends to happen in sand dwelling snakes, take a q-tip and dip it in water, then gently brush it over his eyes (just barley touching them). If you don't feel comfortable doing this you can use a damp wash cloth to brush over his eyes instead (doesn't work as well, but is better for more irratable snakes). If shedding problems occur you can prevent them by putting in a box (depending on the size of the snake a shoe box will work), preferably cardboard, and fill it with shredded newspaper, then atleast once a day spray the newspaper with a squirt bottle until it is moist (if you pick up a peice of newspaper and it drips a drop of water it is to wet). Hope this helps! Any questions emial me at racingfreak66@yahoo.comHow long does it take for a snake to shed his skin after his eyecaps go white.?
    2/3 days
I have an Albino Corn Snake and during this time we leave him alone because they are very irratable at this time. They wont eat or move. You can always tell when they are about to shed because their scales get paler and their behaviour and the eyes. It will happen usually within three day of the eye and color change.
Well, depending on how big ';Elvis'; is....... the eye caps go cloudy about a week before he will shed.... and then, a day or so before he sheds they will clear up again.... be sure to watch and make sure the eyecaps come completely off..... it can be a problem if one of them sticks to the eye and is not shed. Good luck with Elvis!!!
It can depend on a lot of things.. the amount of humidity in the tank, the size of the snake, etc...

My kings and corns seem to shed within three days, while the asian rats and ball python seem to take a couple of days longer.

They are vulnerable in that condition, which is probably why poor Elvis is in a foul mood. It's best to leave him alone until he sheds. He'll feel much better afterward :)
Make sure there is some water for him to soak in, give him a week....Do not try helping him. We had a lady do this with a carpet python and no vets around to help the infection he got. The stupid vet amputated some of his tail off! I was shocked and ticked!

Eye caps if you help these off it could damage your snakes eyes. Water always works :0)
you can tell when the snake is going to shed because it skin turns a pale tan

My dog has dry skin that makes him immobile and tense up when you scratch anywhere on his back.?

Has anyone had a pet that did this, is it okay to scratch him? Will it hurt him? He seems to like it too much, is there anything to be worried about? My dog has dry skin that makes him immobile and tense up when you scratch anywhere on his back.?
You shouldn't really scratch him.. If his skin is that dry, you risk opening him up and then he is more likely to develop worse problems.. You should take him to the vet and find out what's wrong.. Might want to switch to a good quality dog food, make sure your dog gets all the clean fresh water he needs, and add some Omega 3 oils to his diet.My dog has dry skin that makes him immobile and tense up when you scratch anywhere on his back.?
I am pretty sure it is allergy because it i s the season for that and mine dog did the same thing until I went to the vet. He said that all you got to do is got o like a store and get benadryl or cheaper allergy medicine and you give your puppy one pill in the morning and one pill at night and it helps if you put the pill in peanut butter. Trust me it will work!It sure helped my dog from scratching all night long and loosing a lot of hair.

    Natasha:)
get dog safe lotion and moisturize him
Yes, you should definitely worry about it. Your dog can get a skin infection and he wil be very ill if you don't attend to it. There could be a number of things that contributed to his skin dryness. Check the texture of his coat. If it's very tough and bristley, it may be the coat that's irritating him. An effective option is to change his diet. He may not be getting enough fat/oils. There is a craze out there for lean diets for dogs, but the adverse effect is that they don't get enough oils and often develop dry skin. Another contributor may be an adverse reaction to shampoo or other grooming products. The bristles on the brush may also be irritating him. Last, but not least, check for fleas. If the 3 things I mentioned don't resolve his dry skin, definitely see a vet. If your dog develops a fever or starts looking lethargic, that can mean that skin infecttion is developing and your vet will recommend anti-biotics. Watch for these signs carefully.
My dog is doing that right now. when i scratch her she tences up and makes a weird face and turn her neck, but when i stop she like puts her mouth where she want me to scatch. so i put some anti itch spray we got it a walmart and she hasnt scratch since this morning. Its called PRO PET itch relief

    hope this helps

What are some facial cleaners out there that get rid of your acne, blackheads and give you overall clear skin?

So I would like to know what are some of the best working (cheap) facial cleansers out there. I have only skin (on my t-zone) and i breakout about once a month and it takes more than 6 months for it to clear up! Hi, HollaBac

The product I recommend may be not cheap, but it's very effective and it works in a long term.

Most acne products available today only treat blemishes that you already have, without helping your skin prevent more from forming. This can lead to frustrating and costly efforts.

The Acnezine Solution is not just another topical acne treatment product. It is an entire skin care management system that finds the source of your acne and not only heals the blemishes you have, but also treats future outbreaks that you don't even see yet!

    * Works for adults %26amp; teenagers suffering from mild to moderate facial or body acne

    * Eliminates spots, pimples, redness, pus, blackheads %26amp; whiteheads

    * Fast and effective acne cure from the inside out

Acne is caused from imbalances and impurities within the body, people with severe acne also tend to have lower blood levels of vitamin E, and that's why we treat the problem an internal cleansing treatment that goes right to the source and fights acne before it even begins.

Best of all, you can get 2 month supply for FREE now! Take a look at Acnezine Acne Solution's Ingredients and Testimonials at the link below:
There's no cure all. If there was a cheap cleanser that worked for everyone, then we wouldn't have acne.

If you have hardcore acne, talk to your doctor. Your doc can give you tetracyclene (or is it tricyclene...w/e). It's an antibiotic that will control your acne. However, as it's an antibiotic, it will reduce the effectiveness of the pill if you're on it.

The pill can also help reduce acne by controlling hormone fluctuations. Yaz is one that is promoted as an acne fighter and birth control. However, you need to talk to your doctor about this option.

I'm partial to good old clean and clear. Noxema was too harsh on my skin. Clean and clear is a good all around one that worked for me. I use an expensive one now - Vichy. I do love it though, and although it was expensive, you only use a little because it's higher quality of ingredients.

Talk to those cosmeticians at the drug store. With the oil, I think you should get a toner in addition to a cleanser. The body shop had a tea tree oil toner...definitely chech it out.

For getting rid of nasty zits, use tea tree oil - only on the zit. I swear by it.
well have you tried neutrogena they have good products and they actually work the acne medication pads work well and the acne stress free scrub works well too as does the cleansing foam. proactive is pretty good but don't use it too often. clean and clear is also pretty good get the acne cleansor. there are so many different kinds. also you should try the exfoliating and pore cleansing products to clean bacteria out of pores that cause acne. and you don't even have to use products specifically to cure acne because you can just keep your skin clean using cleansers and they will go away eventually. those are some good cheap ones. but if you do save up enough money Shiseido products work really well. they might be a little pricey but they are worth the money if you do decide to get those, get their Pureness line because they have specific cleansors and products to treat acne. you can find it in the cosmetics section of macys. hope this helps!!
    Neutrogena.

    Viery Nice Products.

I used it with great results. Just what you are looking for. And thay are not very pricey. Go here- http://www.neutrogena.com/econsumer/ntg/鈥?/a>

    I have some good edible body oils that might help(-;

What can I use on my dog for her dry flaky skin?

She is a puppy and I would prefer something that is a natural product or oil. What can I use on my dog for her dry flaky skin?
Add some fish oil to her food. It is totally safe and healthy and does wonders for their skin and coat. What can I use on my dog for her dry flaky skin?
From a Vet you can get something like NutriVed for skin and coat (supplement) plus Skin Formulation 3V Caps (contain Omega 3, Vit A, D and E.

Otherwise, you can adda bit of cod liver oil to the food and ask a Vet how much Vitamin E to add. (according to your dog's weight, age)

You could also sprinkle a bit of acidophilus and a bit of brewer's yeast on her food. Don't want to get you over-doing anything her, so check these suggestions with your Vet and which to apply.

Make sure she is on a good diet as allergens in diet are common causes of skin problems. Use something that hasn't been recalled recently and try an atypical meat source like Venison, duck, rabbit

Use blends that don't contain wheat and corn or soy

Some good brands of food that weren't recalled:

Canidae, Wellness, Nature's Recipe, Newman's Own, Flint River Ranch, The Honest Kitchen. (Broad spectrum of pricing here)

Don't over-bathe her, that alone could cause dry flaky skin as can using some shampoos made for humans. Best would be using a puppy shampoo for dry flaky skin. You can find specialty shampoos like this in large pet stores or get a prescription brand from your Vet. The latter would be a lot more expensive and not necessarily more effective.

Make sure your dog has plenty of fresh water always available and exercises a lot so she will be drinking enough water. (Talking about walks and yard, house play here, because walking or running with a large breed pup for too long can cause stress that can be damaging to their bones and joints)
Look for a dog shampoo that is oatmeal based. yyou can add to the benenfits also by bathing her in that, rinsing the dog shampoo off than setting up a bath with water and Avon Skin So Soft bath oil. The Avon SSS bath oil helps dry skin, and is a good flea repellant too. No need to rinse dog off after SSS bath oil.

I've used this combo on my three dogs for three years after receiving this helpful info from a friend who's had dogs for over 20 years.
My Vet recommended Evening Primrose Oil, just 1 tspoon per day , when one of my puppies had dandruff. It cleared up very quickly.

A good shampoo to use is Johnson's Cradle Cap Shampoo, the one they use for babies.
hey carrot oil from a pet store give a tablespoon a day and dogs love it its about 15 dollors but so worth it his coat is so smooth and shiny now
A puppy shouldn't have dry skin.. Don't bath her all the time, feed her quality dog food and make sure she has plenty of good clean water to drink.. You can give her Omega 3 capsules each day as well.
It could be her body reaction to the kind of dogfood you are feeding her. Our puppies have the same issues, too. We tried changing their dogfood once and they started developing flakes. We went back into feeding them the puppy food that they are used to and the flakes slowly disappears. =)
I give my dog teaspoon full of flaxseed oil everyday and now her skin is heathier than ever..
You can get a shampoo with tea-tree oil in it. its $ but works great

What happens to your skin when you moisturize over your makeup?

Sometimes I moisturize my face without taking off my make up.What happens to your skin when you moisturize over your makeup?
Nothing, your actually blocking your skin from absorbing the moisturizer! You know that every time you sleep with your make up, your adding years of aging to your skin. Your skin releases all these toxins, when you rest at night..so you need to allow your skin to breathe. You need to properly remove everything, then apply skin products, morning and night. What happens to your skin when you moisturize over your makeup?
it might clog your pores, by rubbing it into your skin your probably rubbing some foundation and concealor into your pores as well. Its best to put moisterizer on clean freshly washed skin, so try to put moisterizer on before putting makeup on, and wash off your makeup before applying it at night.
it messes up your makeup... also, don't forget, your moisturizing to open your pores and cleanse them. if you don't take your makeup off first, makeup is getting in your pores, making your skin dirtier and could cause you to break out..
It gets all over your eyeshadow, eyelashes.

Or you mean just over foundation and powder.

I guess it kind of breaks up the foundation, make sure to blend.

Is the color of cows determined by the hairs or the skin?

I just wonder the dairy cows which have black and white colors. These colors are determined by the hairs or the skin?Is the color of cows determined by the hairs or the skin?
This will sound weird, but bear with me...

If you shave an area of skin on a cow, you see that the skin coloration matches the hair color. So the black hair grows where there is black skin %26amp; the white hair grows where there is pink skin (no pigmentation).

This implies that the color of skin dictates the hair color. Is the color of cows determined by the hairs or the skin?
I agree with ';BOSTEX';. The scientifics of this would be genetic, but the actual hands-on reality is that the Hide %26amp; hair usually always match up, with the pink skin always having white hair %26amp; the black skin always having black hair! The same applies to brown. For some reason, when the hides are tanned, the underside of the hides have no visable signs of color variation, meaning that the color does not go all the way through the entire hide, which means it may have something to do with the hair color on the top layers of the skin/hide!
Genetics determine hair color on any animal. In the Holstein dairy cow, (black and white ones), the hair and skin color will be the same. White hair has no pigment (color) so the skin will be pinkish/white.
It is determined by genetics. What breed the cow is basicly. Holsten cows are the black and white ones, Blue Bell cow is a Jersey.

What is the best skin care line for African American women?

I have been looking for a good skin care line for African American women but I haven't found any. I haven't tried Clean %26amp; Clear or Clearasil because Im not sure if they are for women of my tone. My main problems with my skin is dryness and discoloration. Anyone how to get rid of an unwanted crease in your skin?

I have an unwanted crease on my eyelid, and I don't want to do plastic surgery. I tried bending, folding and getting rid of the crease in my skin, but it still folds the same way. Anyone know of an idea how to get rid of a crease/dent in my skin?Anyone how to get rid of an unwanted crease in your skin?
Well, after I started using eye-cream the extra crease on my lid went away. But only one of the creases on my lid was noticeable anyway.

Try it. Buy a heavy eye cream and see if it'll fade some.

How is it that the exact second the sun hits your skin you can feel its heat?

Shouldn't it take a few seconds or does that mean it's just really hot?How is it that the exact second the sun hits your skin you can feel its heat?
Actually, you don't directly feel ';heat'; from the sun. The sun's heat (emr) is absorbed by the earth and the earth then heats the surrounding air which is what we feel. How is it that the exact second the sun hits your skin you can feel its heat?
It is really hot. Unimaginably hot. Think about this, it is the heat coming from a thermonuclear explosion. It is so hot that even though the heat hitting your skin has gone over ninety-three Million miles, through the freezing cold of space, and passed through the filter of the Earth's atmosphere, it is still hot. It is a heat source so huge that our entire planet would be like a grain of sand on a big beach on the surface of the sun.
Maybe your wondering how it gets from the sun to your skin so fast? In reality it takes about two minutes for a sun ray leaving the sun to reach the surface. The reason you can still step outside and feel the sun on your skin instantly (or almost so) is that your feeling rays that left about two minutes ago, before you even went outside. Imagine this too: the light you see from other stars at night could have taken millions of years to get to you. Looking in the sky is like looking into the past.
Wow, a collection of very poor answers.... Omegavoids answered correctly - and I reiterate.

The time frame for the sunlight to warm up a given cell on your skin, and then for that warming sensation to be transmitted, via your nervous system, to your brain is extremely, EXTREMELY, fast.

Oh, and the light from the sun takes 8 minutes to get from the sun to the Earth, not two.
You don't feel it in the exact second. Your skin Absorbs the sunlight. And it sends Signals to the brain(very fast) to tell it of the heat.
Firstly the light or thermal energy will touch your skin and your skin then will absorb the heat and than your brain will know it with the help of skin.ok i want ten points
dun pnic! it only sun rise dude:-P

How much does a skin graft cost for a small-ish burn scar and how does it work?

...and how long does it take on average to recover? How much does a skin graft cost for a small-ish burn scar and how does it work?
a skin graft is used to cover a fresh burned area that needs the skin replaced, not for scar coverage.

The skin is taken from another area of your own body so to cover a scar with a skin graft would be sefl defeating as you would then have a scar form where the skin was removed.

How old is the burn? If it is pretty fresh, it may gradually fade and nearly disappear with time. Treat the area with skin cream and don't pick or tan in that area either.

How good is pure Aloe Vera for your skin *Compared* to more commercial skin beautifying products out there?

Like, lots of anti ageing / skin care products use aloe Vera as an ingredient but how effective is it in its pure form? How good is pure Aloe Vera for your skin *Compared* to more commercial skin beautifying products out there?
using it pure is better because you get all the benefits and all vitamin that this plants has like amino acids to achieve a youthful appearance .

if you buy in a cream you get very little or even no results because they mix alot of perservatives and chemicals in it ,and they destroy some of vitamins in it.

Is tea tree or rosemary essential oil better for acne prone skin?

my friends and i are planning on making soap for mother's day presents and for a facial bar we planned on adding either a rosemary peppermint blend (which is more easily obtained) or a tea tree essential oil. which one is mroe effective? Is tea tree or rosemary essential oil better for acne prone skin?
Tea tree oil can be found at health food stores. And while the scent is pungent, try mixing it (or you may find a blend) of tea tree and lavender oil. Tea tree is great for acne prone skin and lavender oil 'calms' the skin down - mixed together it's a nicer scent.

What a nice mother's day gift!! :)Is tea tree or rosemary essential oil better for acne prone skin?
Tea tree is the most effective for an oily or acne-prone skin. It's the most anti-bacterial of all essential oils. Rosemary-peppermint would have a more pleasant scent, and would be better at soothing an irritated skin.
Tea tree is the best choice.

Tea tree essential oil is already known as a powerful antiseptic agent. It effective killing acne bacteria when topically applied. And because of that it is often used as a replacement to benzoyl peroxide in many of the ';natural'; acne treatments.

In a study comparing tea tree oil gel to benzoyl peroxide, tea tree oil had fewer side effects than the benzoyl peroxide, which was associated with itching, burning, stinging, and dryness.

I was wondering what you could really do to make your skin lighter?

What is the best way to maintain CLEAR and SMOOTH facial skin?

I鈥檓 male, not a teenager and I'm black (in case age and ethnicity matter). I鈥檓 not talking about typical acne breakouts that teenagers often get. What happens is I might get three or zits on my face, which drives me nuts. I'm always just almost there, but I can never quite kill of the few heads. I鈥檓 open minded to using womens products. I use some toner, a smoothing gel and moisturizer/facial wash (all mens lines). Once a week I'll use a facial masque (womens product) for 15 minutes. Any vitamins, diet or lifestyle changes necessary to maintain smooth clear skin? Should I keep the masque on for 2-3 hours instead of 15 minutes? What is the best way to maintain CLEAR and SMOOTH facial skin?
Do not leave a facial mask on for longer than the recommended time. It won't do any good, it'll just be harder to rinse off and you might just wind up irritating your skin.

Desert Essence makes a blemish stick that works wonders overnight. (Roll on applicator. Available at Trader Joe's %26amp; Whole Foods)

Salicylic treatments work well too. (ex. Neutrogena Rapid Clear) or you can try these home remedies:

Crush up 6 plain, uncoated aspirin tablets and mix it w/ a little water to make mask.

Mix 6 aspirin tablets with a little aloe or 6 uncoated tablets, witch hazel, tee trea oil, and aloe to make a thin paste for a mask.

    For toner:

8 ounce bottle of distilled water add four uncoated aspirin

    or

mix of 1/2 water, 1/2 witch hazel, 15 aspirin, and 2 drops of tea tree essential oil and 2 drops of rosemary essential oil

Avoid benzoyl peroxide products, they can make your skin ashy. I have medium to tan skin and my aesthetician pointed this out to me.What is the best way to maintain CLEAR and SMOOTH facial skin?
YOU MUST ABSOLUTELY LISTEN TO ME.

first wash your face with a oil of olay facial cleansing product.

for smooth skin: put a slinder coat of honey on ur face 4 15 min. then wash ur face. or mash avacato and spred it on ur face for 15 min.
I am a white female (58) and I use Neutrogena Rapid Clear. It says it is for acne-prone skin which I do not have. It works really good for a fresh shine free skin. My dermatologist recommends Neutrogena for everything!
You should pop them then rinse them out with rubbing alcohol and and the wash your face with lye soap you might have some trouble finding that kinda soap but it is good soap to use on pimples, zits, ect. Wash your face every morning and everynight with that soap for about a week and is should clear up. I have the same problem but not no more. That worked for me.
if you have a CVS near you try their face wash, i don't have like acne but i get zits kinda often. I'm a teen though. Yea but their scrub works pretty good. good luck! hope it works for ya! :)
use clearasil ultra gel wash you can c the dif in just 3 days
  • skin blackheads
  • What is the best skin product to reduce black heads? ?

I have maybe a few zits every once in awhile, but I have a big problem with black heads. What is the best product that can help me?

What is the best skin product to reduce black heads? ?
The following conditions usually lead to blackheads:

    * Excess of oil on the pores - Stress, diet and hormone activitiy changes are major factors that can cause increase in the oil gland secretions.

    * Excess of dead skin cells on the surface of the skin, which blocks the pore openings.

    * Use of skin care and beauty care products on the face that contain too much oil.

As you can see from the above, the main causes of blackheads are oily skin and blocked pores. To prevent and get rid of blackheads, keep the skin as clean and oi-free as possible. Here are some guidelines on how to get prevent blackheads:

    * If you want to prevent blackheads, stop using oil-based skin care products and make-up. These oil-based products will clog your pores, increasing the chance of developing blackheads. You should opt for gentle, natural and organic based, oil-free and non-comedogenic (doesn't clog pores) skin care products and mineral make up products instead. The mineral make up use mineral powders and other natural ingredients which are good for your skin and doesn't contain oil, preservatives that can clog the pores.

    * Clean your face in the morning and evening with a gentle, oil-free cleanser to remove excess oil from the face. Blackheads are not caused by dirt, so do not use hard, abrasive cleanser and do not scrape and scrub the skin harshly as it may cause damage to the sensitive skin and the pores.

    * Perform body cleanse detox and take daily actions to remove toxins from the body - Toxins overload in the body may lead to imbalance of the hormone, which result in the oil gland producing excess oil. Take steps to remove toxins from the body by doing a colon cleanse, drinking adequate water, and eating food that is rich in fibers. Click here to find out more about body clease detox.

    * Apply a mask 2 times a week to absorb the excess oil and to tighten the pores - You can use homemade mask made of honey and oatmeal.

    * Steaming - Steaming is a effective way to deep clean the pores. The steam helps to open up the pores and allow you to remove dead skin cells, oils, blackheads. You can do this 2 times a week.

*Exfoliate to remove dead skin cells - Presence of dead skin cells can clog the pores, leading to blackheads and acne problems. Exfoliation helps to clear away the dead skin cells and excess oil. It can be done my mechanical (using liquid scrubs or cloths) or chemical means (using salicylic or glyolic acid). Salicylic Acid is actually the most recommended exfoliation agent, since it also helps to unclog pores whose openings have already been obstructed by sebum and dead cells. In this manner, your skin will be pimple-free for a longer period of time.

*Get enough sleep and rest - Stress can trigger excess oil production. Getting enough sleep and rest is the best way to control stress. Furthermore, sleep helps to rejuvenate the body and nourish the skin cells, giving you healthier and more glowing skin.

*Additionally, you should exercise and consume a healthy, balanced diet, and drink plenty fluid, all of which improves blood circulation, fights inflammation, and nourishes the skin for a healthy, radiant skin.

*You can also try use oil blotting papers. These are really good at absorping the oils and keeping your skin oil free, which is very important to prevent blackheads. Below are some of the oil blotting products that have good user reviews.

How do I pick the right blonde to go with my skin tone and eye color?

I was blonde when i was little.. my nickname was Goldie locks! But anways, I'm naturally medium tan, I've got cool skintones, and I have hazel eyes! Anybody have any suggestions on what kind of blondes to look at?How do I pick the right blonde to go with my skin tone and eye color?
I think honey blonde would look nice and would bring out the honey tones in your hazel eyes. Don't go too blonde because it probably won't suit your skin tone if your medium tan. If you're still stuck go and see your hairdresser and get them to suggest a colour because apparently.. there's a tone of blonde for everyone.

Go with a cool dark blond. It's going to make your eyes pop out.
if eyes are light colored go with light if medium -medium if dark go with dark
Cela depend si tu as le teint chaud ou froid.Chaud cest blond dore et froid ,cest blond cendre
I would go with a dark blonde. It'll bring out the honey color in your eyes.
    Heya!

The best thing to do is ask a hairdresser who could really help you. Plus its free.

i really like maybellene ';dream matte mouse';. though i have no idea if i spelled it right.. it is perfect for my dry skin becuase it's so fluffy it spreads without catching so much dryness. but before putting it on lightly exfoliate your face with water and your fingertips. :)
Get a good night cream and a dry washcloth and scrub it on. It'll exfoliate and scrub the moisturizer into your skin. Also drink a lot of water and juices. U will notice improvement with the first try. Just do it regularly

How do you treat skin darkening on the waistline area caused by too tight jeans?

It's like you have a built-in belt in your skin. This darkening was caused by tight jeans and skirts, becomes itchy and later on became dark. What should i do guys? I couldn't wear a bikini because of this. How do you treat skin darkening on the waistline area caused by too tight jeans?
coarse sea salt works the best, plus it helps to get rid dark stains on skin between thights, around waist and underarms ,eliminates and makes desappear pimples, stretch marks and bums of all sorts on the skin surface.Makes your skin feel and look incredibly soft and smooth and even in colour(baby bottom skin)

Get a regular sea salt at a grocery store(unless you don't mind paying for a dead sea salt).Take it with you to a shower and use it as a body scrub before shower gel or soap at least once a day

.If you find salt grinds too rough for your skin-simply add a tiny drop of water in it and keep scrubbing you skin .

I've been advising my clients to use sea salt for years because it worksHow do you treat skin darkening on the waistline area caused by too tight jeans?
    just commit suicide!! duh
I had this happen under my bust line due to some ill fitting bras years ago. Go to Walgreen's or Rite Aid or CVS and get a generic (it doesnt need to be name brand) anti-fungal cream. It can be for athlete's foot or ';jock'; itch...doesnt matter. Spread it on a couple of times a day until the discoloration goes away.
just start wearing your bikinies we will love you in that
    Wear clothes that fit...
You will need to stay naked or wear a dress for at least a month.

What is a good face wash for men that treats oily skin and acne?

My skin is really oily. It's nasty. I also have A LOT of blackheads and pimples. More blackheads then pimples. Any suggestions? What is a good face wash for men that treats oily skin and acne?
Firstly using substances derived from vitamin A like retin-a or tazarotene, to reduce inflammation of the skin and to unplug pores. Retin-A can cause skin reddening at first but this is quite normal as the skin's blood supply is improved and younger looking skin begins to appear presenting a youthful complexion. Using a product that includes zinc will also help the vitamin a function better.

you can find more information at

http://www.nutrition4yourskin.co.uk/What is a good face wash for men that treats oily skin and acne?
the #1 suggestion is to see a dermatologist and get on the meds needed to treat your acne. They usually will give you samples of some of the skin cleansers, and one of them is Neutogena's Foaming Face Cleanser with a pump bottle so that it stays clean and not contaminated. They will also give you other meds to get rid of the blackheads and then to exfoiliate your skin, too. It's money well spent and the acne will go away.
SalAc is a very good option -- it can be used as a wash *and* as a leave-on treatment. It also helps other treatments penetrate more deeply into the skin and be more effective. You can buy this from DermStore.com or Amazon.com. It seems to work much better than other products containing salicylic acid and is very effective at controlling oily skin, blackheads, and pimples. If you are looking for a prescription treatment, I would recommend Clinac BPO if you have really oily skin. It's a product with benzoyl peroxide but also has a patented ingredient called Acrysorb, which is unparalleled at absorbing oil from the face. You can buy a lotion, without prescription, which contains Acrysorb online called OC-8 (OC Eight) and use it in conjunction with the SalAc. I feel confident you will find good results with any/all of these options.
You don't need something specific to men. You can use anything designed for acne. I use all Murad products.
My husband has VERY oily skin or should I say had? Anyway, I have him do a twice daily regiment. The acne can be treated topically and with vitamin E gelcaps taken once a day orally.

First: switch from deodorant soap to an antibacterial soap.

Second: wash your face separate from the shower (shampoo's and conditioners can get back on the face during showering).

Washing: Do not use a cloth! Using your hands wet your face with WARM water and wash with the antibacterial soap. Rinse with WARM water. Pat dry. Using a cotton ball apply peroxide over the face (dont scrub and avoid the eyes and mouth). Rinse again with WARM water and follow this with a COLD splash to close the pores.

Do this again at night (wash, rinse skip the cold rinse, pat dry) except instead of using peroxide use rubbing alcohol and don't rinse (alcohol evaporates as it dries) avoid flames until the skin is dry.

It is not an overnight fix but it will help.

ALSO, a once a week peel off face mask works wonders for blackheads and it feels wonderful. I dont recommend exfoliating as it can irritate acne. If you have acne spots that are painful, apply a warm compress to ease the swelling. Ice also works.

  • In the mirror my face looks good, but in pictures my skin is always red and shiny?

    Which one is accurate?

I look in the mirror and it's pale and shine-free, but if I were to take a picture in the same lighting it turns out red and shiny. In the mirror my face looks good, but in pictures my skin is always red and shiny?
Make sure you don't have any lotion on your face at all whatsoever! Lotion will do strange things in the camera. Also don't use any sunscreen or anything with SPF in it, as sunscreen will make you look like a ghost all white and shiny. In the mirror my face looks good, but in pictures my skin is always red and shiny?
I have the same problem!!!! Personally, I think that it's the glare from the camera, but check in the mirror before you take a picture. You might be (ewww) sweating, or wearing some sort of lotion.

Start carrying around a handheld mirror, and you can compare. Also ask your trustworthy friends about it.
If you use make up, use mineral makeup. I use bare minerals and it is great. even if you use liquid make up to cover pimples or discoloration, still put a light layer of mineral makeup on . It makes your skin tone look a lot more even in harsh light.

    Hope this helps :)
take a pic of you in the mirror. Problem solved

Does taking a shower/bath every day make your hair and skin go all dry and scalpy?

Is once or twice a week enough to take a shower/bath do you think?Does taking a shower/bath every day make your hair and skin go all dry and scalpy?
I don't recommend showering every single day, it may damage your hair, I'm not sure about skin. Every other day would be fine. Your hair isn't going to get flaky because of one day, people are spazzes. ;pDoes taking a shower/bath every day make your hair and skin go all dry and scalpy?
Put lotion on your body right after you get out of the shower. Do not shampoo your hair every day, only 3 times a week. On the other days just use conditioner, this wil help a lot. You will notice results right away.
Yes i take a bath once a month and my hair is featured in all the beautiful hair adverts and just use loadz of deodrant then you won't stink.
no, washing yourself properly with soap and water will rehydrate the skin, however if you see your skin peeling or going a little dry then use moisturiser.
No, your hair goes dry and flaky if you DON'T take a shower every day!!!
u should take a shower one time per day then apply lotion

I don't know but my skin these days seem very cracked and dry I can't figure out whats causing it besides staring on the computer screen everyday, I eat healthy and all.Is playing games on the computer screen real bad for your skin?
It's summer. It's dry outside. If you're in an office or an air conditioned house all day, it's recycled air that keeps circulating and keeping your skin the way it is. When school is in session do you usually spend more time outside? I'm sure that's your problem. Climate change, not activity change. Is playing games on the computer screen real bad for your skin?

I recently used cadaver skin for a skin graft inside my mouth. Can using this skin cause new food allergies?

If you can prove it or help me research it help me out with the websites. Thanks.I recently used cadaver skin for a skin graft inside my mouth. Can using this skin cause new food allergies?
Cadaver skin is dead tissue. It is used for a temporary cover of the area that needs to be eventually permanently grafted with your own skin can be harvested.

There are no concerns about antibodies/ allergies with the use of cadaver skin because it is dead and processed tissue. That cadaver skin will not grow...ever. It is just a protective cover until you have enough skin elsewhere on your body that can be transferred to your injury site. All cadaver tissues that are donated are dead tissues. (Don't confuse this with organ transplant when the organs are taken while the person's organs are still alive on life support and the organs are transplanted right away. When someone dies and donates tissue...skin/ bone...that skin and bone is processed and live cells are killed off.)

And, yes, I know that you didn't actually do this. You are speaking hypothetically. If you want more information, call your local tissue bank or Google ';tissue bank';.I recently used cadaver skin for a skin graft inside my mouth. Can using this skin cause new food allergies?
No it won't. Allergies are determined by your own immune system. You won't get immune cells from a skin transplant.

If you got a bone marrow transplant, it's possible to get new allergies.

Yes this bit of info is right and it also helps with chapped skin and dryness. Nothing works as fast as a miracle and it takes a few times for you to actually feel that it is doing some thing.

My mom always used fatback (I think the salt content helped). I saw her use it and I know it worked. It usually worked overnight. But it will kinda irritate the surrounding skin. However all that nasty pus will drain out.How to get a skin abscess to come to a head?
DONT DO THAT. Not good for the skin. Thats kinda an old school way.

I would take a moist, yet warm wash cloth and leave it on the ';thing'; and it will be good for the skin, bring a head, and help clear it up too.

You want to cleanse the mark, not infect it further with bacon fat and bacteria. Not to mention handling raw meat could make you sick if you dont wash your hands very well.
You should not drain the abscess yourself. It is most likely a staph infection, and could be the antibiotic resistant form MRSA. Use impeccable hygiene, and get to a doctor to have it evacuated and the content tested.

Why is there so much debate between dark skin and light skin?

I'm hearing these YouTubers speak about white women dating interracially that they would go for the dark skin black men over the light skin black men.

    Do you believe these stereotypes?

Now, I'm a light-skin BM (peanut butter like) who finds some WW attractive. Is there no love for olive guys?

PS: Don't answer this question if you don't date outside your race. Why is there so much debate between dark skin and light skin?
i date all colors. i'm irish/german so i'm SUPER pale white, even when i (fake) tan i don't get tan, i just get a normal white skin tone. (i say fake because if i try doing it naturally, i just burn). but i like being pale because it's rare. also i do think really really dark black skin is super hot, because here in the US it's also kind of rare. but there are a lot of hot ';peanut butter'; black men/women who are hot too. skin color really doesn't matter THAT much i mean if you're hot, you're hot - skin is just one factor. Why is there so much debate between dark skin and light skin?
The whole thing seems kind of silly to me. It's still hard for some people to accept that we are exactly the same except for the fact that our skin tones changed to protect us from different environmental effects. Skin tone is probably the last thing I consider if at all.
    Who cares about color?

Caramel guys can be just as yummy as dark skinned guys and so can white skinned guys. It only matters what they're like and if they have a cute face. =)
    Wow.

    Those people must be werid.

you should def wash your face in the morning.. this is why you apply cream on your face with spf to prevent the dirt also

so in the AM use spf

and pm don't use spfWhat should I use after washing face in AM to protect skin and prevent acne?
I've been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it's at.

I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.

I'm 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.

Literally the best acne face wash I've ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. It's unique cause of it's herbal supplement you take a long with it that helps your skin from the inside out. I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem.com at the time which was helpful.

You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn't work it will still save you butt on the return policy.

Well good luck and best wishes.
Use a good moisturizer. It should be good, strong, and non-clogging. Some pure oils are good moisturizers. This might seem counter-intuitive, but they are chemical free and help heal acne skin. Many people have seen great results from using them. Some such oils are Jojoba oil, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and Coconut oil. For more information about these specifically and anything else acne related, go to Acne.org. It's a great place!
I use a seaweed toner from the body shop followed by bio- oil... Bio-oil isn't meant for acne necessarily but its been helping me with my pregnancy induced hormonal acne. You could also try tea tree oil.. that leaves your face feeling nice and fresh.
Cetaphil is great, if you wear make-up I'd use a good primer and a mineral make-up.

If you're not using makeup, I'd put some toner and moisturiser on your skin.
    biore ice cleanser is AMAZING

I know many use wax but i've read somewhere that since facial skin so delecate using wax is not good so how these ladies get so perfect ly hair-free skin? How does models %26amp; actresswes get so clear and hair-free facial skin?
They pay hundreds of people thousands of dollars to make them look presentable to the world. Have you ever seen those tabloids where they show the stars without their makeup? They look downright normal. You're right that some facial hair (peach fuzz) is too fine to be removed my waxing and most hairs that fine will not be removed by laser. I've seen little brushes, that look almost like very fine sandpaper. They're supposed to remove the peach fuzz from your face. Dunno if they work or not.

Plus, remember, when you see them in magazines, they've all been airbrushed, so what you see is not what you get. But those girls are probably so rich, they can afford treatments we poor peasants have never even heard of.How does models %26amp; actresswes get so clear and hair-free facial skin?

Well, laser treatment ... i was confused too, but once i had done my hair laser treatment, i got the answer. I have done my underarms, full legs, and the bikini area, and now i have NO HAIR, i'm free of waxing and anything like that, i feel like i lost 100 pounds! Lolzzz ...
They can also afford the best dermatologists and care products
You might be shocked at the amount of photoshopping that goes on with celebrity photos. It is all a great game. The celebs need and want the publicity. The mags give it to them in exchange for ';fixing'; the photos. If you ever seen any close up, you will understand what is being removed. Natural beauty includes lots of imperfections.
air brush. No ones perfect. Everyone has atleast one imperfection on thier skin. Its a scientifically proven fact.
I haven't heard a model yet say she didn't look bad without her makeup or touch ups on a cover of a magazine. Its not real.

Now if you have seen this in person then I suggest you ask them.
Money. Lots and lots of money. A team of 5 professionals per limb, plus 3 for the face, and 10 for the hair. The best designers money can by to hide their imperfections, an army of make-up artists, and a personal crew of airbrushers to mask their very human flaws.
Use a product called Nair or something similar to remove unwanted facial hair. It is a cream you smoothe onto your skin that kind of disintergrates the hair. You probably need to do it about once a week but it only takes five minutes and it makes the hair softer and finer gradually so you will have to do it far less in future. Much better than bleaching- everyone can still see the hair!

For spots and bleamishes etc the Clinque three step plan in really worth investing in. It may seem expensive but it really does work miracles. Make sure you speak to an advisor who will ask you some questions about your skin and help you to find the best plan for you.
the pictures of them are usually filtered or touched up. Without that some of them look pretty bad.

鈥?Hi you may use the salty sour way to get rid of Acne:

    1) It is actually previously proven that salt can be used as an acne home remedy. Just prepare a salt solution (salt added to warm water) and wash your face with it twice everyday. This will remove the excess oil in your face, the main cause of pimples. You actually have an option to add vinegar to it. Apply it directly on the affected area and leave for 15-20 minutes.

    2) Another is by applying fresh lemon juice mixed with rose water in your face, leaving it there for 15 minutes. A continuous application of this for 15 days is believed to give you amazing results!

    3) On the other hand, ground orange peel added with water to make a paste and applied to the acne can also make your face free of acne again.

    4) Lime combined with rose water is also a recommended acne home remedy! apply it on your face and leave it for 15-20 minutes then rinse with warm water. Juice made of Papaya apllied on the affected area is another great option.

I use dto have huge cysts all over my face until I found this inexpensive method:

I do a clay face mask. Beware though that there are many different clay masks. There is Bentonite clay, Moroccan Red clay, and many others. The best one to use is GREEN EUROPEAN CLAY. What I do is since the container is usually so small that it takes me no time to finish, I mix this clay with the bentonite clay just to make it last longer. What's also best about the GREEN EUROPEAN CLAY is that it's good for all skin types. For oily skin you would just mix the clay with water and it literally draws all the oil and toxins out of your skin. You can actually feel your skin pulsate!!! The best brand that I use is the NOW brand for these clays. The NOW brand is all natural and usually is one of the best brands for anything you buy. You can purchase any of these things at your local Health Food Store. I put the face mask on once a day at night before I go to bed and I wake up in the morning with no oily skin!I hope this works for you as it does for me.

    hi.

the cause of acne is not only oily skin and moisturizers, but also over activity of glands ,familian history, hormonel and dirt.

so avoid any application on skin ,gell in head ,and oily food cheez wash your face regularly with plenty of water or oil free face wash ,take green vegetablesCan people with oily skin and acne get ayaw from not using moisturizers?
I don't always use a moisturizer, and I'm in my 30's with oily skin. I also only wash my face once a day with Cetaphil, and use witch hazel. I don't touch my face if I can help it, because your hands carry the most germs on your body. I find most moisturizers too heavy for my skin. The more you stimulate your oil glands, the more oil they will produce, so hands off!

Try and find a lite moisturizer. I really like Neutrogena products.
You still need a moisturizer, oil free and with a sunblock.

Is heating a minor skin burn a good way to stop blistering?

Is it true that if you put a minor skin burn in the oven for as long as you can bear it then it will stop any blistering?

Incidentally, I've tried this and it strangely works, but I want to tell people this with proper backup without sounding mental. Is heating a minor skin burn a good way to stop blistering?
    No!

Minor burns are 1st degree. 1st degree burns never blister.

2nd degree burns are the ones that blister. If you have a 2nd degree burn, all putting it in the oven is going to do is make it worse.

The best thing to do with a minor burn is soak it in cool water (not cold, and not ice: that can cause further tissue damage) for at least 10 minutes, and then pat it dry and lightly bandage it with nonstick gauze.

Putting anything oily or greasy on the burn will trap the heat and make the burn worse. Adding heat to a burn will make it worse. It will not prevent blistering, unless you change your burn into a 3rd degree which are too deep to blister. (Not advising that; 3rd degree burns almost always need skin grafts). Is heating a minor skin burn a good way to stop blistering?
Blisters shouldn't be broken. If they burst by themselves, as they often do, the overlying skin should be allowed to remain as a wet dressing. Let the skin underneath toughen up, keep the area clean, and protect yourself against the cause of the blisters next time.

Any burn that stays painful for more than 48 hours should be seen by a doctor. And good luck.
No, because heat just helps the swelling to develop.

Holding the burn in cold water will help reduce the pain, the swelling and the blistering, even though minor blisters aren't preventable.

The skin can be peeled from the blister after the pain is gone to allow new skin to grow.
next time put ur head in the oven it will solve ur problem quicker or atleast dont bred how would heating up a minor burn prevent it from blistering they only blister in moderate burns puting it in a oven will only burn it worse put cold water on it to stop the burning then put some ice in a bag and wrap it with paper towels then hold that on the burn
The best immediate response is ice.

  • How do I apply my make-up if I'm wearing a navy blue dress and have a light-medium skin tone?

It is for my 8th grade promotion ceremony. Could you give me both a day and night look? How do I apply my make-up if I'm wearing a navy blue dress and have a light-medium skin tone?
    I'm in 8th too...

    For the day:

Wear your hair up in any style as long as its not a pony tail. [Go to any salon and they will do it for you or explain to you how to do it yourself]...

First: dust your face all over with bareminerals warmth bronzer but make sure not to put a lot on and use a big brush.

    http://www.bizrate.co.uk/cosmetics/oid490365070.html

Next: try wearing black eyeliner..this kind is great in black: http://www.bourjoisusa.com/eyes/liner/12

and you can usually buy it at any walgreens or make-up store in your area. Line the inside of the bottom of your eye until you get the desired thickness. Then use some mascara http://www.maybelline.com/Product/Eye/Mascara/volum-express-turbo-boost-washable-mascara.htm works great...go over your lashes a few times and whike they are wet try using an eyelash crimper to make them more defined or just use your fingers a little. Then use some lipgloss..any brand in a shimmery pink will do great. For day..don't go over board.

    At night..

Do all the same things on your face, and add different shades of blue for your eyeshadow. Any brand will do it but buy a turquoise, a navy, and something in between. Then apply the medium one on your eyelids, the dark one in the crease, and the lightest one buy your eyebrow. This should work great..and make sure to wear your hair down.

Hope this helps. How do I apply my make-up if I'm wearing a navy blue dress and have a light-medium skin tone?
Day: foundation and use a light pink blush with nude lip color..for your eyes use a nude tone and brown/black volumizing mascara www.physiciansformula.com is my favorite line

Night: use foundation as needed..go light pink blush again..and a nude lip color...eyes this time use a nude tone with a bit of glitter. apply navy liner pencil (NYC) to your top lash line only..but make sure its dark and to both ends..then use the mascara again (two coats) and curl your lashes..:)
night i would suggest a beige shimmer /matte cheek highlighter for the cheek bones, which you can find at any drugstore makeup company, this along with a nude lip colour, and the navy colour eyeshadow not too much though and then with the usual mascara, eyeliner

day: i suggest something just as subtle maybe using a gloss on the lips and no shimmer for the cheek bones, i would suggest a light powder, a natural colour rosy pink perhaps or a tan colour might work better, if you hose tan light eye make up with the a tan colour, or a powder blue,

    i hope that helps

How long does it take for the bump from my TB skin test to go away?

I tested positive, and my bump is 20mm and it is red. How long until the bump goes down? It has been like 55 hours since I was injected. I know it will take a few days, but does anybody know how many? How long does it take for the bump from my TB skin test to go away?
A mantoux should be read --determined positive or negative-- from 48-72 hours after it is administered. If read positive, it can take up to a week afterwards to diminish. Keep the area clear and uncovered. If blisters appear, DO NOT break them -- they may contain active TB bacteria, which can then be spread to others. If the area continues to be irritated or inflamed, notify the person who made the reading for further instructions on caring for the affected area. How long does it take for the bump from my TB skin test to go away?
um, there shouldn't be a bump.............did they already read it? I have had many over the years while I was in the Army (at least once a year), and I have never had one that was a ';bump'; more then a day!!

Fo how long should the ProActiv lotion be left on the skin before it can be washed off?

My wife and I have recently started using ProActiv. Its been about 2 weeks. Though we see some improvement on the acne front, it looks like both of us are starting to get a dark layer or some dark patches on our skin. It seems like our skin is getting a bit burnt. Is this common?

We normally do not wash our face for 7-8 hours after applying the lotion. Is that too long? Is the acidic nature of the toner and the lotion burning the skin? How long should we keep the lotion on our skin for it to be effective. Should we wash off after about an hour or two? Would frequently moisturizing the skin help?

Even though we see some improvement on the acne front, we are a bit concerned about continuing with it because of this dark layer that is getting formed. Any advise on that front would be appreciated.Fo how long should the ProActiv lotion be left on the skin before it can be washed off?
if you're having problems with a product stop right away. it means something is wrong. proactive is a benzoylperoxid based system, which means that it's drying your skin out and they also use a light exfoliate. Proactive, for most people, works for a while and then your body gets use to it and it stops working. this is normal for most people. it's best to switch between two different systems, here's some acne advice that will help you not break the bank:

i am an acne expert (or sorts, i got acne when i was 8 years old and i am ow 22 and i just now have found the secret to controlling it after trying many different medicines and brands)

by looking at it's ingredients it's claiming it:

    exfoliates and cleanses and 're-freshens'

honestly, here's how to go all that without breaking the bank:

exfoliate: buy a loaf or a bath cloth. the rougher the better (without making you bleed of course) you could even use bar soap with it and just rub your face. this gets rid of dead skin and blackheads and helps prevent acne from forming.

cleansing: cleaners these days say 'cleans without drying your skin out,' but don't worry about that, dry your skin out, you need to. use any cleaners you want, even bar soup as long as it's oil free.

re-freshen: moisturize. by an oil free moisturizer and you're set, this is why if doesn't matter if your cleanser dries your skin out, you're gonna be using a moisturizer anyway.

99.9% of acne companies use an expensize inefficent method of these three steps. this is the basic and cheap way to prevent and cure acne.

i would also recommend (if your acne is bad) to buy a benzoylperoxid based cream and a salicylic acid based gel. these are the main two ingridents ance companies use. benzoylperoxid dries up oil thus dries your skin out and salicylic acid 'stips' old skin away. buy both and alternate then every two week to a month. that way your skin doesn't get too use to either of them.Fo how long should the ProActiv lotion be left on the skin before it can be washed off?
clean and clear makes a very good salicylic gel it comes in a small clear tube in a clear box most brands make a Benzoylperoxide based cream if you can't tell what is is by looking at it read the active ingridients Report Abuse

I also use ProActive, the steps are - use the facewash (rinse face), then apply the toner with a cotton ball. let face dry, then add the lotion. My doctor also prescribed a phosphate lotion that goes as the 4th step. (I also noticed that the face felt really dry and the phosphate helps) If you do use regular lotion throughout the day make sure it is oil free. If you feel that is it burning your skin, you should probably stop using the product and contact proactive asking if it is a side effect - or ask your doctor. hope this helped!!! Also - I don't think that there is any certain amount of time that you have to wash your face in. The lotion is not actually acidic - its active ingredient is benzoyl peroxide - which acts kind of like a bleach. (that is also why your towels or sheets/pillows get bleached out with use of proactive.

    I can help!

Just give me your skin type and I will send you tips and tricks!
I had a lot of difficulty using this product. Not that problem, but I never really noticed a difference while using it. I switched to Clearsil Advanced, and it seems to work better, with no strange side effects. I'm trying ProActiv again, but I'm getting no where, I just figured since everyone was raving about it, I'd try it again. You could be allergic to something in the lotion? I don't know, but it's like using any other lotion, it wouldn't matter if you waited an hour or ten hours, once you rub it in, it's already pennitrated the skin, and started working, it disipates on it's own. The only thing I can suggest, is using ANY of the acne lotions they suggest using a HEAVY layer of sunsreen before going outside, so if you spend some time outside, with no sunscreen, that could be it. I've always used sunscreen while on acne lotions, so I'm not sure of the results, perhaps that's your case.

    Hope I helped!
I've never tried proactiv, but some people seem to respond well or 'ok' and others have great difficulty with the product. There was someone that posted on youtube.com about his unfortunate experience in which he started out with 'mild acne' and then even after having adverse effects and worse acne, customer service said to keep using it and even sold him more products. He now has severe (cystic) acne. His website is www.propassiv.com I would quit while you are ahead! Not everyone reacts well to every product. Please take good care.

And as for facial cleanser, I use Cetaphil liquid cleanser which is so gentle on my very sensitive skin. Just fyi :)
I've actually emailed companies before asking how long their products should stay on, and they state that they should stay on for the rest of the day until you wash at night. Therefore, the 7-8 hour span should not be the problem. It could be that you are both having an allergic reaction to the lotion.
