They have cream out there for diaper rash, its the orange kind. I used to put it on my son and it worked really well for himWhat to do when baby at 2 months has really dry skin , esp on her cheeks?
If your baby鈥檚 skin is really dry you can up their fluid intake. Babies, as well as adults, get moisture from inside the body. When your baby has dry patches, rub some mild hydrocortisone cream on the spot, or ask your doctor for some medication to help these patches go away. Add moisture in your baby鈥檚 room with a humidifier. This will put moisture in the air and help hydrate your baby鈥檚 skin. Cut down on the soap. If baby鈥檚 skin is dry, using a bubble bath can make it worse. Only use soap on the body parts that need it, i.e. the diaper area. Also, use a gentle soap. Put lotion on within a couple minutes of your baby getting out of the bath. Because they were just in warm water, your baby鈥檚 pores are open and will absorb more moisture. I have noticed that when I put lotion on right away, my baby鈥檚 skin just eats it up. If you add a little more lotion to their skin at this point, your baby鈥檚 skin will stay moist all day long.
my son had really dry skin, my midwife advised me not to use any soap products on his skin (she actually said she HATED johnsons baby products!) and when you give them a bath put a cap full of olive oil into the bath.
i did that for my son, then when i took him out, (in a nice warm room) i gave him a baby massage with olive oil (he seemed to love it) then put him in a pj's, next morning when i undressed him his skin was perfect, i'd recommend it to anyone :)
xxx
only give her baths 3 times a week and use baby oil with aloe Vara by jj and use butt past on the rash that's what the doc told me and some times baby's faces get that way from the cold and wind and don't use and adult product on her always baby's
Your baby must have Exczema its tottaly harmless but it itches like crazy i got a Mild form of it .All you need is specially medicated lotion from your doctor i think its call Mometasone furoate 0.1% ..Or you could use Aquaphor its really moist but its really oily
I used hydrocortisone cream (2%). It's the only thing that worked on their face. My Dr recommended it, and it works fast! My boys have very sensitive skin, so everything made them break out in a rash... especially baby oil.
My doc suggested Eucerin.
Sounds like cradle cap. You need baby oil for this.
aquafor works great for my baby
