Colorism?
Colorism is discrimination within a race of people based on skin tone and complexion. If another White person discriminates against you because of your pale skin and tells you to get a tan is it?
I have never said that to anyone. on the contrary, I could careless the asian, black, east indians or arabs dye their hair blonde or using skin blenching. its their preference to prefer fair or tan. its just like you wearing some nice cloth then some ppl may find you look good while some find you look horrible? I think you shouldn't care of what other ppl say. just do what you like and satisfy your mind. if you find fair skin is look good on you so u just keep it that way cos its your body.If another White person discriminates against you because of your pale skin and tells you to get a tan is it?
I'm not white.
And I'm answering your question. So too bad.
Anyways, the only people who I believe should get a tan are the ones who bleach their skin. To become like a vampire? I hate those people. I think everyone should stick with their natural skin color and unless the environment changes it, don't change it yourself.
No, I would just tell that other person to get a life and mind his or her own business. I have other, more pressing things to worry about.
Yeah,i tell to go ahead and suck my clit when they say i need a tan.lol
And i like to think i'm preserving my skin's youth and health. That's a lot better then getting fried leather skin and wrinkly.
And thirdly.When i hear chicks tell me i need a tan,i tell them i'm not a bimbo.
That is advice, not discrimination.
well...it's not really discrimination if you are the same race. since they would recognize you as the same race, telling you to get a tan isn't really prejudice in my view. but i wouldn't know, i'm not white. it just sounds like it would be rude rather than bigotry
the whole point of something like racism is you assume somebody is of inferior quality because they're a different race. if you know somebody is the same race, is it possible to assume they are inferior for something like their melanin content? i don't know but it idoesn't seem likely
yes. it happens in all races- more so in darker skinned races.
very snow white skin at one time was a sign of royalty-not anymore.
It's just them being rude. Colorism is not shallow like you're describing it. It's more like a system ingrained in our society that favors certain skin colors and tones over others (usually within a race/group). Someone telling you to get a tan is a probably at most someone being influenced by popular beauty standards.
no.
it just means they think you would look good with a tan, who wants to have pasty pale skin anyway?
Colorism?
it seems like in not so much time every single person on earth will have his own unique label to the extent when his twin brother looks at him and says ';Don't pick your nose'; he will say ';Oh, you just discriminated against me! You see, i`m a purple/yellow nose picking human, and you are a purple/yellow nose scratching human, how dare you judge me?????';
I`m speaking in general
1. Your a LOSER
2. Maybe you need a tan
3. And no its not colorism they are just expressing their own personal opinion. You dont have to listen.
