How long does it take for a snake to shed his skin after his eyecaps go white.?

Poor Elvis looks like the living dead and he's in a very foul mood. How long does it take for a snake to shed his skin after his eyecaps go white.?
Give him a couple of days, the only thing you can do to help is mist his cage 2-3 times a day with a squirt bottle. If he sheds his skin on his body, but not his eyes, which tends to happen in sand dwelling snakes, take a q-tip and dip it in water, then gently brush it over his eyes (just barley touching them). If you don't feel comfortable doing this you can use a damp wash cloth to brush over his eyes instead (doesn't work as well, but is better for more irratable snakes). If shedding problems occur you can prevent them by putting in a box (depending on the size of the snake a shoe box will work), preferably cardboard, and fill it with shredded newspaper, then atleast once a day spray the newspaper with a squirt bottle until it is moist (if you pick up a peice of newspaper and it drips a drop of water it is to wet). 2/3 days
I have an Albino Corn Snake and during this time we leave him alone because they are very irratable at this time. They wont eat or move. You can always tell when they are about to shed because their scales get paler and their behaviour and the eyes. It will happen usually within three day of the eye and color change.
Well, depending on how big ';Elvis'; is....... the eye caps go cloudy about a week before he will shed.... and then, a day or so before he sheds they will clear up again.... be sure to watch and make sure the eyecaps come completely off..... it can be a problem if one of them sticks to the eye and is not shed. Good luck with Elvis!!!
It can depend on a lot of things.. the amount of humidity in the tank, the size of the snake, etc...

My kings and corns seem to shed within three days, while the asian rats and ball python seem to take a couple of days longer.

They are vulnerable in that condition, which is probably why poor Elvis is in a foul mood. It's best to leave him alone until he sheds. He'll feel much better afterward :)
Make sure there is some water for him to soak in, give him a week....Do not try helping him. We had a lady do this with a carpet python and no vets around to help the infection he got. The stupid vet amputated some of his tail off! I was shocked and ticked!

Eye caps if you help these off it could damage your snakes eyes. Water always works :0)
you can tell when the snake is going to shed because it skin turns a pale tan
