Every winter about this time my skin gets extremely itchy and dry. It's so annoying. I use lotion after every time I get out of the shower but it's just not getting the job done. What's the best thing I can do to eliminate this problem? What's the best thing to do for dry, itchy, winter skin?
Me too. Yucky winter.
Take shorter showers, pat yourself dry and put a high emollient cream on your skin while you're still slightly damp. Drink lots of water, cover yourself up when you're in the wind, wear soft clothing against your skin.
If you still have itchy, flaky skin after doing all of this, you should see your doctor because you might have excema. Or move to a tropical island:)What's the best thing to do for dry, itchy, winter skin?
Try to keep your showers as short as possible. And take as few as possible, but AT LEAST daily. Don't use extremely hot water when you shower either and use moisturizing soap.
In addition to lotion, make sure you are drinking lots of water. Lotion won't do a lot if you aren't hydrating through the inside as well.
Try Eucerine lotion for sensitive skin it works wonders!
