Can I have dark skin and still look like a convincing Goth?

I have a fancy dress party coming up I was going to go as a goth, but I don't know if the outfit will work if I have dark skin. Should I go as an arabian belly dancer instead?

Go as what you feel. But don't freaking pose as something you aren't. Goth is more then something to dress up as on a whim, or for a party. Of course, skin colour doesn't matter at all when it comes to goth! Colours other than black look more dramatic however. A lot of darker goths will wear all-white, or wear richer colours like green, purple, deep reds etc. The same goes for makeup. Don't do white-face, it will look ridiculous. Look for a gorgeous medieval dress, or a corset and long elegant skirt. It doesn't have to be expensive - most places these days sell bustiers - I've bought a few for $10.
Yes you can. Although dark skinned goths are quite rare, it's not about skin colour at all. It's about the lifestyle and culture. If you want to be goth, then look at some nice corsets and long flowing skirts. Also knee length boots work well. Look for blacks and purple mainly, I'm sure you will look stunning.
yh yooh could go as a coth im black and went to a gig as as goth .


oviously you wont be as pail


but use a white base and some very pail powder then make yoohr eyes as dark as possible..





but if its a fancy dress party i thing you would probliy look betta as a belly dancer

If you go as a goth, just wear your hair pin straight and wear ALL black makeup like black lipstick and eyeshadow and lots of eyeliner.





I dont see why you wouldnt be able to, there are goths of all races

But you Could Go Goth, But Because Of Your Skintone You Should Really Go Over The Top, Like Spikes, Green Streaks In The Hair Or If You Have Afro Hair Make It Really Frizzy And Spike It Up Purple Thats What My dads Girlfriend Done When She Went To A Concert
