Should I go to a skin doctor for boil problems or should I ask my regular doctor?

I have a doctors appointmen tomorrow should I just bring it up, I have only has this boil for about 4 days. Should I wait for the skin doctor or ask my regular doctor tomorrow?Should I go to a skin doctor for boil problems or should I ask my regular doctor?
By all means ask your regular doctor to have a look at it, and confirm it's a boil. You don't need a dermatologist to tell that- it's not an exotic skin disorder, it's a pretty common complaint well within the ability of a general care doctor. At the moment, there's not a lot either one can do or probably will do to it. Apply moist heat to the spot, hot as you can stand it, using a clean washcloth. Heat it in the microwave, take care not to scald yourself though. Hold it on the spot until it cools to lukewarm and repeat the process as many times and as often as you can. That will help it drain, usually within a few days. When you aren't putting heat on it, keep it covered with a bandaid. If it doesn't drain itself within a few days with the heat, then it's time for the doctor's help. He can incise and drain it in the office, and will likely give you antibiotics to stave off a worse infection starting in. Meantime, don't poke, prod or squeeze it at all. Just apply heat and leave your body to handle things.Should I go to a skin doctor for boil problems or should I ask my regular doctor?
yes ask ur doc i am sure he will give you something for it a boil is not like a reoccuring skin condition but i am not a doctor so i could be wrong in saying that. I do no they make this stuff called boil ease and steeming or sitting in a bath with water as hot as u can stand it will help burst it and peroxide might help dry it up
A boil is not serious.. ask your doctor tomorrow to check it out
Ask you doctor tomorrow, and see if he can help, or if he should refer you to another specialist. Why pay to go to a dermatologist when your regular doctor may be able to help.
Ask your regular Dr. about your boil. show the Dr your boil, he/she will direct you in the plan of action to take. Keep this appointment!
